A rotor and stator form the central pumping element of a progressive cavity pump, also commonly referred to as a screw pump.
The metal rotor rotates inside an elastomer stator. Their matching geometry creates sealed cavities that move continuously through the pump as the rotor turns. This allows material to be conveyed with a controlled and consistent flow.
