Rotor stator sets, rotors and stators for the screw pumps (progressive cavity pumps) in plaster, mortar and screed machines. They pump plaster, mortar, flowing screed, grout, refractory and geopolymer materials, and are used in 3D concrete printing. We carry more than 80 models, from the D6-3 and 2L6 to the UE 45/7, R7-1.5 and 7515. Only need one part? See our rotors and stators.

How a rotor stator pump works:

Rotor stators by pump size

D4-1/2 and D4-1/4: lower output, for fine products and precise work.
D5-2.5: the pump Putzmeister lists as "D6" with the "Ø 6-2L" stator, standard on the MP 25 Mixit. Also as ECO.
D6-3: the most common plaster pump. Also as D6-3 "Drill", ECO and PFT Twister D6-3.
D7-2.5 and D8-2: in between.
D8-1.5, also sold as D5 Short: higher output, less pressure.
UE 45/7: for flowing screed and high volumes.
2L6: the stator is always 101.6 mm.

All D-series pumps share the same flange and rotate to the right (clockwise).

Rotor stators by machine

Confirmed pumps for the machines we stock spare parts for. Each link opens the machine's spare parts page.

m-tec Duo Mix 2000: every D-series rotor stator, the UE 45/7 and the R7-1.5. D4, UE 45/7 and R7-1.5 need an m-tec change flange (numbers on the machine page).
Ülzener Putzknecht S48: every D-series rotor stator and the UE 45/7, with the larger suction flange 048.03.825.
Putzmeister MP 25: every D-series rotor stator, standard D5-2.5. The UE 45/7 does not fit.
PFT G4: every D-series rotor stator (standard PFT Twister D6-3) and the R7-1.5 with the R-pump suction flange.
Putzmeister SP 11: 2L6 as standard. Putzmeister also lists the 2L75, 2L88 and 2L74, depending on the version.
Putzmeister S5: 2L6 as standard, the 2L74 on the S 5 EF.

How to choose the right rotor stator

A rotor stator only fits if all of these match your machine:

Designation: start from the pump in your machine, for example D6-3, 2L6 or R7-1.5, and match it completely.
Stator diameter: must fit the machine. Browse by diameter: <89, 89, 101, 114, 127, 146, 159, 193 mm.
Rotor head and connection: must fit the drive. Two pumps with similar output are not interchangeable if the rotor heads differ.
Direction of rotation: right or left, depending on the machine.
Output and grain size: models differ widely in output, and the maximum grain of your material must suit the pump.
Shore hardness: stator rubber hardness is given in Shore A. A lower number means softer rubber. Abrasive mixes suit softer rubber, smooth materials harder rubber. Harder rubber builds more pressure.

Maintenance-free or adjustable stators?

Maintenance-free stators need no retensioning. Once installed, the pump is ready to run. A common choice for flowing screed.
Adjustable (clampable) stators can be retensioned when the pressure drops. This compensates part of the wear and keeps the pump at pressure for longer. They come with an integrated clamp, or as a slotted stator in an external clamping jacket.

Which design suits you depends on the pump model, the machine and the material.

Frequently Asked Questions About Rotor Stator Pumps

What is a rotor stator pump?

A progressive cavity pump, also called a screw pump. A steel rotor turns inside a rubber stator, and their matching geometry forms sealed cavities that move the material continuously and evenly. That is why plaster, mortar and screed machines use it: it handles viscous and abrasive material. The video above shows the principle.

Does the same rotor stator fit different machines?

Often, yes. Many models are used by several machine makers. What decides is the stator diameter, the rotor head and the direction of rotation, not the brand. That is why one D6-3 fits machines from m-tec, PFT, Putzmeister and Ülzener.

Should I replace rotor and stator together?

Usually yes, as a matched set. A new stator on a worn rotor fits poorly and wears out faster. If the rotor is still in good condition, you can order the stator alone.

What do designations like D6-3 or 2L6 mean?

The designation identifies the pump geometry. Designation systems differ between pump families, so always match the complete designation and check diameter and rotor head.

How long does a rotor stator last?

There is no fixed life. Wear depends on the material, its abrasiveness and grain size, the pressure, the pump speed and the rubber compound. Signs of wear: loss of pressure, lower output, pulsating flow and visible wear on the stator rubber. When the pump no longer reaches the pressure you need, replace it.

Can you supply a rotor stator that is not in the shop?

Yes. The shop shows a large part of our range, and we supply more versions. Send us the machine make and type, photos, any markings and, if possible, the dimensions of rotor and stator.
